We saw a Bald Eagle on the beach! I’m guessing the pair that spent time here last summer is nesting somewhere around here. The eagle(s) lands on the beach when the tide is quite a ways out, sits on a mound of something, then waits to see something appealing swim by? Last year, I saw one eat something rather large off in the distance, though couldn’t make out what it was. I haven’t seen it (them) catch anything, though there’s no doubt a lot of tender morsels around on which to dine.
