Pugwash lighthouse

Like all working harbours, the mouth of Pugwash harbour has a lighthouse standing sentinel, welcoming water traffic, sparking imagination of those sitting on land, staring out into the water. This is not the original lighthouse, but occupies the space on which a lighthouse has stood since 1871.

Driving closer to the lighthouse, allows for a different vantage point on viewing the Thinker’s Lodge.

It also allows one to see the original lighthouse, which was moved in 1960 to a nearby farm after having been purchased.
