The tide was coming in, but there was still some dry ground on which to stand. (This was taken last weekend.)
I was working from the cottage today, instead of in town, where I have faster bandwidth. It started out so windy that the hummingbirds took a while to figure out that if they held onto the feeder perches tightly, they would be safe drinking while the feeder swung back and forth. I was so intent on my computer that I failed to notice the wind quiet. Late in the afternoon, too late as far as the tide was concerned, I looked up to flat water gleaming under the blue sky. An hour earlier, I would have had lighting and water for some photography potential. Well, we’re here for another month or two…
Here is some video of the hummingbirds on a calmer day. We just missed the lighting! Something else to aim for in the next month or so.
