The seagulls came back Friday, along with more herons to keep the one we’ve been seeing infrequently company. It was so very odd to be on the ocean without seeing gulls playing in the wind or lots of herons feeding along the shore at low tide. We’ve been here 3 weeks and this was the first sunset in which we could watch gulls soar around, seeming to enjoy the blustery weather. We now have Bonaparte’s, Black-backed and Herring gulls back on duty.
As for the re-emergence of the Nova Scotia blog? We’ll see how that goes. I know that most of you paying attention to this are folks who wish you could be here, so I’ll try to update with some shots to show you how amazing the area still is.
