Then and later

The difference between March and May is more than a couple of months. Those black dots in the trees? They are condo units in what is now a very busy and social community of Cormorants and Black-crowned Night Herons. The sounds are amazing — you’ll hear the colony long before it comes into view. Hikers and ice-surfers have been replaced with kayakers and board-sailers; earth tones are being replaced with vibrant greens of all shades; it’s still a wonderful place to get away from it all within view of the city skyline.
