No way I’ll go swimming if I see one of these truckin’ around the water, but watching them in the aquarium…I could sit/stand there all day. Their movement is mesmerizing. And at the Toronto Zoo, they have relaxing music playing, the lights are dimmed — if only they would put in some comfy chairs, I could catch up on all that missing sleep!
Spot metering is the way to go with figuring out the exposure for this, and either keep changing your focus points to take the shot or switch to manual so that you can just frame and not worry about whether your camera knows what it should be taking the exposure from.
