More magic hour glow

This is about 20 minutes outside the Algonquin Park East Gate, heading back to Toronto. Aside from it being a tremendously picturesque little lake, we always have memories of a dear friend when passing along it and we call this “Theresa’s Lake.”  She was one of the best photographers we have ever known, as well as one of the most incredible, and took some beautiful photos here.

We barely got here in time to get some shots before the sun dropped too low — you can see the dark shadows already making themselves prominent.

Here, you can also see that the clouds were still actively lurking in the sky. I love front lighting with stormy clouds behind!
