Last Nova Scotia Sunset of the Season

This was taken on the last night we were at the cottage.  We took a break in packing up and closing the cottage to open a bottle of wine, sit on the deck and enjoy the moment.  It’s amazing how far the sun’s position has changed from when we arrived mid June. It even changed dramatically from the previous week, during which it was setting over the blueberry fields, the lower area of trees to the right.

A project for next year, if we are able to spend as much time, will be to take a shot every night to create a time lapse of how the sun’s position changes. I had pondered that for this year, but blew the opportunity due to work stresses.  However, that’s not a mistake I’ll make in the future.
