I’ve seen hybrids before, red-tufted ears, a red patch, a little red on a tail…but this was the first time I’ve seen a black squirrel with such an outrageously bushy, bright orange tail. I had just put some sunflower seeds in a bird feeder, so he decided to check me out on his way to check out the free lunch. I, of course, reciprocated.
