As mentioned earlier, this is not a linear progression of photos.
While at a family dinner next door this summer, my camera battery died and I did not have my spare! So I ran down to the cottage as magic light was approaching and saw this sailboat coming in. Grabbed the battery, ran up to camera, exchanged the battery, ran back down to the beach and got off a few shots. While less clouds might have made prettier colours, especially with the water, I love the monochromatic feel of the image with the sails standing out on their own, grabbing some of the diffuse sunlight making its way through the clouds to highlight the front sail.
