Surprise Visitor!

My eye caught sight of an unfamiliar profile in the water as I glanced out my window with a view. It wasn’t a crow, wasn’t a heron…it was a Bald Eagle, sitting on a mound of exposed beach on the outgoing tide.  First time I’ve seen one this year!  Tried to get closer, but it was a hot, sunny day, there was lots of beach exposed, so there were people walking along the tide line, straight at the eagle.  It flew away with its back to me, not the best of angles. It could have at least been in profile, so I could have caught a better shot with its reflection it he the still water!!!
