Cap D’Or

Took out-of-town guests to our favourite restaurant for lunch only to discover a sign at the top of the trail down to the lighthouse saying that the restaurant was “closed”!!!  Went down anyway, since it is a lighthouse and has an amazing view. Turns out “closed” means no more lunch, but the restaurant is still open for dinner. So we changed our dinner plans to eat here.  We had a couple of hours to kill and while we were watching dolphins and seals play in the tidal currants, the chef called out of the restaurant to ask if we would like beer or wine while we waited. Heck, yes. Gorgeous day just kept getting better. The menu is now a fixed 3-course menu, but the food is still amazing.
