Beaver Pond

This is the most amazing example of beaver engineering that I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen damns that have been a LOT higher. Here, they took what was a little raised area of a field through which some water streamed into a nearby pond (from which they were kicked out) and created a raised pond in what was otherwise a fairly flat area, around this cluster of trees.  To the left, is the bumps’s natural height, the part to the right of that is building up the rest of the area to match. Just amazing.
