Not sure what was more adorable: her opening the box to see the beautiful, sparkling diamond pendant that was his thank you for 50 years by his side or his proud face as he watched her open the gift. He told me later that he would do it all over again in a heart beat, that she was the best thing that had happened to him. It was a good thing that they both have strong hearts as they had both encountered a lot of surprises over the weekend, as family worked to make the celebration a special one.
